Korova Milk Bar

So, I'm becoming impatient for my Mondayeyes bracelet.
I really want it.
I can't wait to see TAI... again, who knows when that will be, but it gives me something to look forward to.
But, they deserve a break, hopefully they will resume touring early next year.
I don't know- I think this post is completely pointless.
I do not want to go to school today, I'm tired and feel like crap.
I have a feeling today is going to really blow.
But, eh- let's be positive!
Amanda's:
Name Drop of the Day: Alex DeLarge
Song of the Day: Ludwig Van himself- 9th Symphony

You and Me and the Moon

So, I officially have a new favorite band to listen to: This Is Ivy League.
I'd heard of them numerous times, being that I love Cobra Starship, and TIIL is Ryland and Suarez.
But, they are so much better than Cobra. Definitely one of the better indie bands around. So, I provided a video.
Comments, questions, concerns?
PS: just ordered my Mondayeyes bracelet, Check that Juliet! :)

the star streaked sky.

I've always wished I could draw, I think it's the most amazing thing. But, I'm really impatient and get ridiculously frustrated way too easy. So, I've just never been able to actually apply myself. But, I found this instructionao drawing website written by some art teacher and it is really informative, so I'm actually goijng to take the time to practice and get better. I'm really excited.

Yep. Oh, and I'm way more into short stories, or descriptive writing. But, I wanted to try my hand at poetry, well good poetry, and the finished product makes me extremely happy.

As I looked into the star streaked sky
I felt a tiny boy, by my side.
Small and tender, no regrets.
He forced me to remember, never fret.
The life he made was full of joy.
Memories of candy and toys.

A dainty girl arrived by my side and told me
“Amanda, don’t you cry”
Her dainty hands wrapped around mine and reminded me
I don’t have time.
This generation is filled with fear.
That they may not last another year.

Feat is the trigger for our lives.
It is our hopes, it is our cries.
Fear is what makes grown men tear
And little girls, grasp at their pretty hair

One days soon we’ll find each other and know that
Some day or another, fear will be a memory
Of days that were never meant to be.

And As The Bright Light Came Nearer, Her Vision Became So Much Clearer.

She pulled her tattered bag close to her growling stomach. She attempted to hurry along, but was stopped by the thick sea of students. She stood there uncomfortably, pigeon-toed and feeling as awkward as she ever had. The potent scent of youth undulated from every crevice of the cold concrete that she had grown to know as home. She grimaced at the disgusting display of life that was parading about, oblivious to the irrelevance of their existence. The blistering heat of the Southern California sun was the only reminder that she was alive, and she was late for class. So, she made her way to the splintered wood, wrapping her lanky fingers around it and getting her soft, delicate skin scratched. She sat down, in the uncomfortable, dilapidated chair. She was ready for the pointless, uninformative babbling called a lecture. She was ready to nap, accepting her own over-analytical, self-conscious, awkward self. She was ready to be alive, to live.

The Harsh Light of Day.

So, I started posting on Mondayeyes (thank you, Mr. Beckett) and I just thought I'd post the same things in both places. So, here's my first one. I actually really liked how it came out.
As she strained to open her eyes, stained with worry and aged by her countless doubts, she realizes the only time she feels whole is in this second, the second when she barely wakes up. The second where no one is there to judge or belittle her ideals, beliefs, and ideas. But, the sizzling heat of the newly risen sun burst through her lightly tinted bedroom window, gracing her with the horrendous thought of reality. She had to become what she always hated and hate what she always wanted to be.
